Interactive Design Consultants (IDC) was formed in 1986 to advance the use
of personal computer (PC) CAD/CAM systems. The key personnel of IDC, Tom Zwica,
Tom Hicks, Becky Catlett, and Ron Hartman, have over 100 years of experience in
computer science covering a broad range of operating systems, programming
languages and hardware systems.
The roots of IDC are primarily in the design and development of Computer
Aided Design/Drafting (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) segment
of engineering computer software. IDC is the worldwide developer and
distributor of the ANVIL-1000MDŽ CAD software system which runs on a wide
variety of computer platforms. In addition to the ANVIL-1000MDŽ CAD
system, IDC provides custom software systems to many prominent
corporations such as John Deere, Caterpillar, Boeing/McDonnell Douglas
and others. The development of these Systems involved extensive network
and corporate system consideration in both the design and
implementation.
The wide distribution and application of IDC's products and services has
necessitated that the company acquire a high level of expertise in
network and communication systems, both from a hardware and software
standpoint. Most commonly used software and hardware systems are available
to us "in house" for the purpose of continued development and
maintenance.
IDC supports all of it's customers and products with "hot line" technical
assistance. Our philosophy is to not only provide our customer base with
quality products, but quality technical support as well. This philosophy
has allowed us to enjoy an outstanding record of repeat sales generated
primarily by word-of-mouth advertising.
2001 brought about the acquisition of IDC by TriCom L.L.C. This merger of
two technical companies allows us the ability to provide an extensive
range of services both for corporate and home users. It also brought about
a change in our name. We are now known as "IDC Digital Solutions".
With the acquisition, we've nearly doubled our staff and experience and are
looking forward to continued growth and a prosperous future of IDC Digital
Solutions.
